We use dynamic clamp to determine how the properties of synapses interact with voltage gated conductances to determine the computations performed by cells. This approach allows us to mimic synaptic inputs to cells by using synaptic conductances to trigger spiking. In this example MF synapases are activated at different frequencies and the resulting input-output transformation is determined.
